Ontario Street in St. Catharines reopening to two-way traffic starting end of day Friday, Aug. 2

Ontario Street (Regional Road 42) from Linwell Road to Lakeport Road will be reopened to two-way traffic by end of day on Friday Aug. 2, 2024.

Construction will be paused until approximately Aug. 26, 2024, during the World Rowing event, after which time construction will restart to complete the remainder of the restoration works, including asphalt paving.

When construction restarts at the end of August, the road will continue to remain open to two-way traffic but daily lane closures can be expected. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of October 2024, pending weather.
