Changes to fees at Regional disposal sites
On Dec. 14, 2023, Niagara Regional Council approved a revised residential and commercial fee structure. This structure better reflects the true cost of managing certain material types at the Region's disposal sites. The following changes to the fee rates will take effect on Feb. 12, 2024:

Leaf and yard waste (commercial) | $70 / tonne | $75 / tonne |
Clean soil* (commercial) | $30 / load | $10 / tonne |
*Fort Erie - Bridge Street Waste and Recycling Drop-Off Depot does not accept clean or contaminated soil.
Residents are encouraged to separate all recyclable material to reduce waste going to landfill. See more information on these changes and other waste management services.
