Noise bylaw exemption for construction on Ridley Road in St. Catharines
Overnight construction will take place on Ridley Road between Ambrose Street and Henrietta Street as part of the GO Station Precinct Development Project.
Work will happen in two phases between July 7 and 11, 2025. Each phase will include overnight sewer lining work to connect nearby properties to the main sewer line.
To complete this work safely, a temporary by-pass system will be used. Residents may hear noise from construction equipment and diesel pumps. These pumps will have silencers to help reduce the sound.
A noise bylaw exemption has been granted by the City of St. Catharines to allow work to continue overnight during the following times:
- 11 p.m. on July 7 to 7 a.m. on July 8
- 11 p.m. on July 10 to 7 a.m. on July 11
This work is being completed by Rankin Construction Inc. on behalf of Niagara Region and the City of St. Catharines.
