Niagara Street (Regional Road 50) Bridge Reconstruction
All Niagara Region projects
About the project
The Niagara Street bridge in Welland carries vehicular and pedestrian traffic along Niagara Street (Regional Road 50) over the Welland River.
The class environment assessment study will develop and evaluate a variety of bridge improvement and replacement alternatives which will consider components of the Region's Transportation Master Plan, including Active Transportation and Complete Streets.
In addition to the bridge, alternatives will be developed for the extension of a 600 millimetre diameter watermain on Niagara Street from Riverbank Street to Mill Street.
