This application is required when any work taking place not on Regional roads requires a full road closure and requires traffic to be diverted / detoured onto Regional roads.

Processing time is a minimum of 14 business days from the date of application. Permit fees cost $230.00.

Application Guidelines

A plan or sketch must accompany this application, showing details and the location of the proposed works (must show nearest intersection)
A current certificate of liability insurance in the amount of at least $1,000,000 to $10,000,000 naming Niagara Region as an additional named insured. This certificate must accompany the application. The amount will be specified by the Region.
Provide all related drawings and a signed Certificate of Insurance form by emailing roadpermits@niagararegion.ca specifying the permit type and applicant name in the subject line.
