Compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act

If you are applying to provide Niagara Region with a service that involves your staff interacting with the public on behalf of the Region, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires that your staff are trained with the Customer Service Standard by Jan. 1, 2010.

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act is Provincial legislation that Niagara Region follows. The act provides standards outlining the way the Region must provide services to people with disabilities. Any third party service provider whose role is to interact with the public must also be trained under the act.
