All companies, contractors and residents performing excavation, drilling, blasting or auguring should call before they dig.
Due to the potential of serious injury/death and interruption of essential service occurring if an underground pipe is accidentally severed, the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act requires that all underground services shall be accurately located and marked prior to excavation (O. Reg 213/91 Sect. 228).

Niagara Region maintains every traffic signal, most flashers, some roadway lighting and a complex network of signal interconnect conduit. There may be underground plant located in your excavation site or project area.
