North Service Road (Regional Road 39) Environmental Assessment
All Niagara Region projects

About the project

Niagara Region is completing a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment study for North Service Road (Regional Road 39) between the Queen Elizabeth Way interchanges at Victoria Avenue North and Jordan Road in Lincoln. The study area is approximately 2.8 kilometres long and does not include the interchange terminal areas.

North Service Road is an arterial road that forms the southern boundary of the Prudhommes Secondary Plan Area. The study will assess current and future transportation needs and identify improvements to support planned growth in the area.

The study will also address opportunities to:

  • Improve traffic operations
  • Enhance road safety
  • Support walking, cycling and transit through a complete streets approach
  • Integrate the vision for Prudhommes as a walkable, mixed-use waterfront community
