About the project
Niagara Region is addressing the failing road platform along King Street (Regional Road 81) from Lincoln Avenue to Greenlane in Lincoln. The existing road has reached the end of its lifecycle and requires remediation. This project will provide a complete reconstruction of the road.
The design upgrades include:
- Replacing culverts
- Improving sub-surface drainage
- Repairing and reconstructing the ditches, curb and gutter to improve roadside drainage
- Improving illumination at the intersections
- Widening the road platform to include paved shoulders with painted buffers
- Geometric improvements at the Thirty Road intersection
- Constructing traffic signals at Thirty Road and Lincoln Avenue
