About the project

Niagara Region is working to improve road safety and traffic flow across the transportation network. As part of this work, the Region is moving ahead with planning for intersection improvements at Highway 20 and Balfour Street in Pelham.

This project will review and evaluate options for the intersection to address current operations, road layout and safety needs. It will also look at how different designs could improve traffic flow, enhance safety for all road users and support long-term transportation needs in the area.

Input from residents, businesses and road users will be gathered and reviewed. It will be considered along with technical and safety evaluations before a final recommendation is confirmed and moved into design.

Through this project, Niagara Region will continue to support safe and efficient transportation infrastructure and engage the community throughout the planning and design process.
