Replacement of Four Mile Pond Culvert
All Niagara Region projects

About the project

The Four Mile Pond Culvert is in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Lakeshore Road (Regional Road 87), about 750 metres east of Four Mile Creek Road. The culvert lets water from a small stream connected to Four Mile Pond (also called Three Mile Creek) flow under Lakeshore Road. It was built in 1920.

The existing structure is a two-span reinforced concrete rigid frame. It spans about 5.6 metres.

A full replacement is recommended because the structure is in poor condition.

The road over this structure will be widened to add wider paved and granular shoulders.
