Niagara Week 2025
From Oct. 27 to 29, Niagara Region hosted Niagara Week, a three-day advocacy event at Queen's Park.
The event provided Regional Council and senior staff the opportunity to promote core growth-related priorities while strengthening the Region's intergovernmental relationship with the Government of Ontario.
To kickstart the event, Niagara Region hosted a reception for all members of Provincial Parliament on Oct. 27. This provided networking opportunities with political officials while showcasing why Niagara is the best region to invest in.
During the three-day advocacy event, Niagara Region held nine meetings with provincial ministers, associate ministers and parliamentary assistants. Regional staff also met with six associate deputy ministers to move Niagara's advocacy priorities forward at the staff level.
Many expressed an interest in learning more about ongoing Regional projects, requesting more information and follow-up meetings.
Regional Council appreciates the warm welcome from the Government of Ontario and looks forward to building off the success of Niagara Week so collectively we can keep Growing Better Together.
