York Road Watermain Replacement
All Niagara Region projects

About the project

Niagara Region is improving its transmission watermain system. The improvements include replacing approximately 3.8 kilometres along York Road. This location is between Concession 7 and Four Mile Creek Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake. There have been many watermain breaks along this road from corrosion and break down of material. Providing safe, reliable drinking water is a primary of Niagara Region. The replacement is needed to avoid future problems that might affect the community.

This project is a schedule "A+" project. It is pre-approved according to the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. Niagara Region must inform the general public, external agencies and Indigenous communities and organizations before the project starts.
