J.R. Stork Bridge Replacement
All Niagara Region projects

About the Project

The J.R. Stork bridge (structure 038205) is located on Regional Rd. 38 (Martindale Rd.) in St. Catharines approximately 1.1 km north of the Queen Elizabeth Way. It carries Martindale Rd. over Martindale Pond/Richardson Creek.

The structure, originally constructed in 1967, has one lane in each direction with a sidewalk on the east side. The Region completed an analysis of the bridge in 2019 and recommends the replacement of the J.R. Stork bridge.

The project inlcudes the complete replacement of the existing structure as well as the reconstruction of the approaches on either side of the bridge.
