Regional Rd. 98 Reconstruction
All Niagara Region projects

About the Project

We're planning the reconstruction of Regional Road 98 (Montrose Rd.) from Regional Road 49 (McLeod Rd.) to Charnwood Ave.

In 2011, Niagara Region (along with the City of Niagara Falls), completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment which identified the need to reconstruct Montrose Rd. to address traffic capacity issues, safety and operational improvements, active transportation and complete streets. Between 2016 and 2019, the detailed design for the reconstruction was completed.

The project will include the following items:

  • New sewers and water mains
  • New curbs
  • New sidewalks
  • Multi-use pathway
  • New asphalt
  • Traffic signals
  • Landscaping
