All Niagara Region projects

About the Project

The Niagara St. bridge in Welland carries vehicular and pedestrian traffic along Niagara St. (Regional Rd. 50) over the Welland River.

The class environment assessment study will develop and evaluate a variety of bridge improvement and replacement alternatives which will consider components of the Region’s Transportation Master Plan, including Active Transportation and Complete Streets.

In addition to the bridge, alternatives will be developed for the extension of a 600mm diameter watermain on Niagara St. from Riverbank St. to Mill St.
