About the project

Netherby Road bridge (structure 025210) is located on Netherby Road (Regional Road 25) in Niagara Falls and is approximately 650 metres west of Montrose Road (Regional Road 98). It carries Netherby Road over Young Drain.

The structure, originally constructed in 1960, is a two lane single span embedded steel girder structure with a span of 3.7 metres. The Region completed an analysis of the bridge in 2019 and recommends the replacement of the Netherby Road bridge.

The project includes the complete replacement of the existing structure, including widening for paved shoulders and the reconstruction of the approaches on either side of the bridge.
