King Street (Regional Road 81) Improvements from Vinehaven Trail to Twenty-Third Street
All Niagara Region projects
About the project
King Street (Regional Road 81) is a major arterial road that runs through the central business district of Vineland providing a major link to other communities east and west of the project limit.
The project is in the Town of Lincoln through Vineland, crossing a major intersection at Victoria Avenue that provides connectivity to the QEW. The project limit starts at Vinehaven Trail and Twenty-Third Street at the easterly limit.
The scope of work includes consideration for decorative streetlighting, relocation of all utilities underground, enhanced landscape and plentiful trees along the boulevard. The project will be phased to encourage engagement and support from the Vineland community while keeping in line with the preferred solution presented in the 2016 environmental assessment.
A road reconstruction is planned for King Street (Regional Road 81) from Vinehaven Trail to Twenty-Third Street in Lincoln to improve:
- Road conditions
- Infrastructure
- Road capacity
- On-street parking
- Streetscaping and urban design
- Overhead utility conversion
