Jordan Hollow Retaining Wall Replacement
All Niagara Region projects

About the project

King Street (Regional Road 81) crosses the Jordan Hollow between 19th Street and Brookside Drive in Lincoln. The road platform is supported by a timber retaining wall on the north side of the road. Inspections done on the retaining wall found the need to replace the wall with a new structure between Brookside Drive to Twenty Mile Creek

Along with the replacement of the retaining wall, Niagara Region is taking the opportunity to make improvements on King Street within the study area between 19th Street and 23rd Street. Jordan Hollow can be considered an environmentally sensitive area and therefore we are undertaking a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment in partnership with the Town of Lincoln. The Environmental Assessment will review alternatives for improving the road to incorporate our Complete Streets guidelines and replacing the retaining wall.
