About the Project

Niagara Region has started upgrading and expanding the Grimsby Water Storage System. These upgrades include the addition of a 15 million-litre potable water storage reservoir and a new section of watermain along Park Rd.

There will also be upgrades completed at the existing Park Road Pumping Station and Reservoir. The section of watermain to be constructed along Park Rd. will run from the new Grimsby reservoir (located to the south of Ridge Rd.) to the existing watermain (located to the north of Ridge Rd).

Expected traffic delays

Nov. 6: Park Rd. S will be closed for approximately 500 metres south of Ridge Rd. between Ridge Rd. and Elm Tree Rd.

Lane restrictions and road closures resulting in travel delays are expected and ongoing. Alternate routes around the construction zone will be posted and we ask driver to use these routes.

Affected areas will vary depending on the progress of the project, so check here for regular updates on the latest disruptions.
