About the project

Niagara Region has developed a new Niagara Official Plan. As part of the development process, the Region undertook a natural environment work program to identify a natural environment system. This is made up of both a natural heritage system and water resource system.

Work is now underway to update the Environmental Impact Study Guidelines. The key objectives of the guideline updates will be to:

  • Update policy and technical content
  • Improve document functionality
  • Introduce a structured waiving process
