Niagara's Employment Inventory

Niagara Region is conducting its second annual inventory of local employers. Employment inventories are considered a best practice in other GTA communities. It's a strategy Niagara is adopting to improve our global competitiveness.

Between May 8 and September 1, representatives from Niagara Region will be conducting in-person surveys with businesses across Niagara. Results from the survey will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of Niagara's current employment landscape by providing reliable data on employment numbers, types of employment and job / industry locations.

2017 Survey

Surveyors will conduct a brief face-to-face interview with business owners and collect the following information:

  • Physical business location
  • Business owner information
  • Business activity information
  • Employee and staffing attributes (employee counts, seasonal workers, shift work, general education levels)
