About the project

Niagara Region is re-evaluating the security of supply to Zone 2 Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. This evaluation will include a watermain to address supply disruption. Investigations have identified the preferred alignment for the new transmission main. This alignment follows Decew Road from the Decew Water Treatment Plant to Richmond Street. From there, it will follow along Richmond Street to Collier Road. Constructing the new watermain along Merrittville Highway from Decew Road to Sir Isaac Brock Way is also a potential.
