Niagara Region, in partnership with the Town of Grimsby, the Town of Lincoln and the Township of West Lincoln, are preparing a Pollution Prevention and Control Plan as well as a Wastewater Master Servicing Plan update study.
The project's scope is to update the previous 2009 Baker Rd. Wastewater Treatment Plant Pollution Control Plan to meet the goals of the procedure F-5-5 and under the Class Environmental Assessment process for Master Plans, develop a prioritized action plan for improvements of the system supporting short and long-term growth and sustainability of the wastewater infrastructure.
This study will satisfy Phase 1 and 2 of the Municipal Engineers Association Class Environmental process (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015). This is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act and will evaluate alternatives to help support the long-term sustainability of the wastewater systems.
