2020 Strengthening and Resurfacing Program - Part 2

About the Project

Niagara Region is starting work on part two of the annual strengthening and resurfacing program on Regional Rd. 81 (Main St. West), Regional Rd. 39 (North Service Rd.), Regional Rd. 14 (Smithville Rd.), Regional Rd. 69 (Twenty Mile Rd.) and Regional Rd. 73 (Fly Rd.). This is needed to increase the lifespan of the road by improving the structural integrity.

The proposed work includes:

• Replacing selected cross culverts
• Milling off the top course of asphalt
• Repairing cracks in the base course asphalt and replacing concrete curbs that are in poor condition
• Paving new top course asphalt followed by line painting
