Niagara Region will be undertaking the reconstruction of Regional Rd. 63 (Canborough Rd.) from Coffey Bridge to Baldwin Rd. The reconstruction will address the slope stability issues along the Welland River in accordance with the previously completed Feasibility Study – Embankment Stabilization. The proposed works are to include the installation of sheet pile walls, the replacement of existing culverts and the reconstruction of Regional Rd. 63 to a rural cross-section with paved shoulders.
The project has been publicly tendered and was awarded earlier this month. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin early March and will continue through 2020.
