Notice of construction to residents, businesses and property owners for Contract 2018-T-127 (RN 18-27)
Niagara Region is proceeding with improvements to the Stamford Interceptor Trunk Sanitary Sewer along the Ontario Power Generation Hydro Canal between Dorchester Rd. to approximately 700 metres North of Portage Rd. in the City of Niagara Falls.
Pre-condition inspection: immediately
Pre-condition building inspection surveys of properties located near the proposed site will start immediately and will continue over the next few weeks.
This notice also serves as an introduction to the pre-construction survey company, OZA Group Inc.
The pre-condition survey requires a video and / or photographic record of the building’s interior and exterior condition prior to construction. OZA Group Inc. has been retained to complete the pre-condition survey and representatives from OZA Group Inc. will have identification with them.
Construction is expected to start in late March 2019 and be completed by December 2019.

What to expect
Residents can expect construction vehicles and related truck traffic, and a degree of construction-related noise, dust and short-term inconvenience.
Odours from the resin used to line the sewer may be noticeable during this work. Although low levels of this harmless odour may be noticeable at times, it presents no risk to human health.
Construction and traffic signage will be posted
and public services such as emergency services, garbage / recycling collection
and school buses will be advised of the construction work.
Niagara Region has retained Liqui-Force Services for this construction project and GHD Limited to provide the construction administration and inspection services.
