Niagara Region hosting Alzheimer Society Coffee Break event

​WHAT: For more than 20 years, the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region has held its annual Coffee Break campaign in support of those who live with Alzheimer’s and dementia related illnesses. 

Workplaces across Niagara have committed to hosting a Coffee Break event between September and the end of December. This year, the society is hosting their official Coffee Break campaign kick-off event at Niagara Region.

Regional Chair Jim Bradley will be presenting the Alzheimer Society with a cheque for $1000 as the Honorary Chair for the Coffee Break campaign. Care Partner Cheryl Benson will also be speaking on how dementia has affected her family and the support received from the Alzheimer Society along her journey. There will be coffee, treats and a chance to learn more about dementia and available resources.

WHY: Your help is needed to reach Niagara’s goal of $75,000 donated in 2019. Together we can raise awareness for dementia and the available resources to help those with the disease.
