Construction Activity Glenridge Quarry Naturalization Site – Site will remain open

Construction activity will be taking place at the Glenridge Quarry Naturalization Site in Thorold starting on Nov. 19 and continuing until the end of January. The work involves drilling, excavation and removal of buried infrastructure which is no longer required.  This will cause a temporary disruption to various areas of the site while work is being completed.

Visitors to the site should expect the following during the months of November, December and January:

  • Six to eight weeks of trail/path closures throughout the site. Closed trails/paths will be clearly identified and access will be restricted
  • Noise
  • Heavy truck/drilling equipment

Those visiting the site during the construction period are asked to obey all signs and barriers.  If your pet is sensitive to noise or traffic, it is advised that you not visit the site with your pet while this work is taking place.
