Niagara Region is excited to unveil the esteemed jurors who will help select projects worthy of recognition at this year’s Biennial Design Awards.
Launched on Nov. 1 2019, the inaugural awards program celebrates excellence in design of the built environment in Niagara.
The jury panel selected to evaluate submissions is made up of distinguished urban designers, architects, landscape architects, interior designers and visual artists from Niagara and the Greater Toronto-Hamilton area.

Deadline to apply to the Biennial Awards is fast-approaching. Submissions are due by Jan. 24, 2020 at midnight.
Finalists and their works will be featured at an awards ceremony in May, 2020.
Building on the previous Niagara Community Design Awards, the new program celebrates design excellence and recognizes the owners, designers and makers that contribute to raising the bar for design in Niagara.
The award categories include architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, urban planning, interior design, outdoor art and student design projects. Projects must be located within the municipal boundaries of Niagara Region and be substantially completed between Jan. 1, 2016 and Dec. 31, 2019.
