Helping seniors 60+ stay active and socially connected with planned programming
Programs are developed based on participant interests, skills and abilities with the goal of encouraging physical, intellectual and social involvement.
Exercise class is designed to get clients active and promote physical health and wellness.
A morning snack and a nutritious lunchtime meal are provided in a relaxed social atmosphere. Caregivers can benefit from the valuable respite and peace of mind.
The Adult Day program is for seniors 60 years and over who want to stay active and socially connected.
The program is for seniors who:
Valid participants would live at home and be medically stable. Must reside in Ontario and possess a valid health card number.

A low, daily user fee billed monthly covers the cost of program activities, meals and snack.

Planned programming runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

As an extension of the Adult Day program, the Aphasia program helps individuals having difficulty with speech usually caused by stroke or injury that affects the language areas of the brain. The program is delivered by speech-language pathologists who are experts in treating communication disorders, as well as trained volunteers.
The program helps clients improve their communication skills and confidence and is delivered in a small group setting, providing a fun, social environment.
Monday and Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. at Linhaven, 403 Ontario St.
Tuesday and Thursday from 1-4 p.m. at Meadows of Dorchester, 6623 Kalar Rd.
