When you become a home child care provider with Niagara Region, we'll walk you through preparing your child care environment, find clients that meet your availability, and provide ongoing support to help you succeed.
The Region also offers reimbursement for start-up costs including fire inspection and criminal reference checks. Initial setup normally takes four to eight weeks.
Wage Enhancement
Through the Home Child Care Wage Enhancement Grant eligible providers may receive up to an additional $20 per day to support their child care services.

Once completed, applicants will be contacted and an interview will be arranged. If you are eligible, the agency will work closely with you to establish your home child care program and help you be successful.
