Reporting your Child's Absences from School

We monitor school absenteeism on a daily basis with the assistance of the local school boards.

By tracking our schools' absentee rates and reasons, we can make recommendations for ways to help limit the spread of illness.

When calling the school to report your child's absence, include:

  • Your child's class / homeroom
  • Specifics symptoms of the illness, including:
    • Fever
    • Runny Nose
    • Headache
    • Sore Throat
    • Vomiting
    • Diarrhea
    • Admitted to hospital

This information allows us to better keep track of the types of illnesses currently in the schools.
