Goals

  • Explain cannabis and its appeal to youth
  • Describe the risks of using cannabis
  • Teach students appropriate refusal skills

Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students will:

  • Gain a clear understanding of what cannabis is and how it is used
  • Gain an understanding of reasons for use and non-use among youth
  • Be able to describe the risks of using cannabis and understand ways to refuse its use
  • Gain an understanding of legislation
