Councillor Sandra Easton started her political career in 1982 and served six years as alderman for the Town of Lincoln. She was elected as mayor in 2014 and, in her second term on regional council, is the second woman to represent Lincoln.
She has had an extensive career in nursing and nursing administration, which includes experience as assistant clinical professor at the McMaster Faculty of Health Sciences, and clinical lecturer at Mohawk College. In addition to her accomplishments in the nursing field, she also holds her master's degree in public administration from Queen's University.
She is a founding member of the Emergency Nurses Association of Ontario and Canada and a board member of the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology, and has served on the board of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Councillor Easton is serving her second term as mayor of the Town of Lincoln, and in this capacity is a member of regional council.
