Councillor Marvin Junkin is serving his first term on regional council in his capacity as mayor of the Town of Pelham. He previously served on town council for Pelham representing Ward 1 from 2014 to 2017.
Upon graduating high school, Councillor Junkin purchased the family dairy farm from his parents and operated it for over 40 years before selling the dairy herd in 2012. With the help of his wife Candice, he now cash crops some 400 acres in Pelham.
Councillor Junkin and his wife have raised three boys and a girl. While growing up the boys played in the Pelham Minor Hockey Association where Councillor Junkin coached for eight years. Over the years, he has played in various men's hockey leagues and has developed many close friends.
He and Candy have travelled to many southern locations and in 2012 took a 30 day car trip to the western shores of Vancouver Island -- a great trip across such a great country.
