Addiction Services
Addiction services is an employment assistance activity available to you if your addiction is a barrier to employment.
If you tell your Ontario Works casemanager that you have addiction issues you will be assessed for referral to a local assessment service - Community Addictions Services of Niagara. If treatment is indicated by the assessment, a treatment service plan will be created specifically for you by Community Addictions Services of Niagara and your Ontario Works casemanager, with your help.
The individual service plan summarizes your treatment plan, identifies other services and supports that are required or desirable, describes roles and responsibilities, and identifies service providers to be involved.
As you move through the stages of treatment, your plan will change to reflect your different needs through the stages of your treatment.
Your casemanager will help to identify the supports you need to maintain recovery. These may include transportation, stable housing, medical care, life skills programs, and childcare.
