Notice of utility relocations and tree trimming / removals on Casablanca Boulevard (Regional Road 10) in Grimsby
Niagara Region will be carrying out utility relocations and tree trimming / removals on Casablanca Boulevard (Regional Road 10). The work area is from the Canadian National Railway and Main Street West (Regional Road 81) along Livingston Avenue from Casablanca Boulevard to about 150 metres west of Emily Street in Grimsby.
Utility relocation work will be done by contractors for Grimsby Hydro, Bell and Cogeco on behalf of Niagara Region. Tree trimming and removals needed for the utility work will be completed by Niagara Region staff.
This part of Casablanca Boulevard and Livingston Avenue will be part of Phase 2 of the Casablanca project, planned to start in early 2027.
Tree removal for the utility relocation is expected to start in early October. The overall utility work is expected to be completed by late December, weather permitting.
Visit the Casablanca Boulevard project page for updates, road closures and detours.
Every effort will be made to maintain access to properties and to minimize inconvenience to businesses, residents and pedestrians.
At times, there will be some inconvenience to you during the utility relocation period. Due to the scope of work involved, driveway access may be affected. Niagara Region staff will give advance notice if this happens and will contact you about your driveway entrance.
To protect workers and complete the work safely, single lane closures may be needed. Traffic may be slow at times. Safe pedestrian access will always be provided, but care is requested when walking through the construction area.
