Bruce Trail reroute at Quarry Road site in Lincoln

 

A section of the Bruce Trail passing through the Quarry Road site in Beamsville will be redirected due to construction from September 2025 to May 2026.

 

The work is part of a project to upgrade the leachate treatment system at the closed landfill site. These improvements are essential to enhance operational treatment efficiency.

 

During this period, the trail will remain open. A 150-metre section near the construction zone will be rerouted west onto the grassed cap of the closed landfill. Trail users are asked to follow all posted signs and barriers for their safety.
