Construction notice for GO Station Precinct Development Project and road closure for Ridley Road in St. Catharines
As part of a Niagara Region capital project, the City of St. Catharines will be doing trenchless sewer renewal work on Ridley Road from July 7 to 11. This type of sewer lining causes less disruption than digging up the road.
There will be some road closures and extended work hours during this time. The work, done by Rankin Construction Inc. and their subcontractors, will move as quickly as possible to reopen the road.
The schedule is weather dependent. Rankin Construction Inc. will send notices to properties that will have no driveway access. Sanitary service will not be interrupted. All sewage will be pumped through the system during the work.
The unplanned disruptions to water services from June 16 to 24 were due to older infrastructure. The City thanks residents for their patience and Rankin Construction Inc. for their efforts in completing those repairs along with the new watermain work.
