Notice of public meeting: Proposed increase in building permit fees for sewage system review
Niagara Region will hold a public meeting under Section 7 of the Ontario Building Code Act. This includes Division C, Section 1.9.1.2 of Ontario Regulation 332/12. The meeting will consider increases to the current building permit fees for sewage system review. These changes are set to take effect Jan. 1, 2025. The goal is to ensure the costs associated with administering sewage system reviews are collected on a cost recovery basis.

This public meeting will be held during the Budget Review Committee of the Whole meeting.

The final Fees and Charges By-law will be considered by Regional Council at its meeting being held on Thursday, Dec. 12.
