Notice of construction for the Cole Farm Sanitary Pumping Station upgrades

Niagara Region is starting the upgrades to the Cole Farm Sanitary Pumping Station and forcemain. The pumping station is located at 26 Colton Ave. in St. Catharines.

The pumping station will be replaced with new infrastructure including the construction of a new 600 metres long forcemain. This will run from the pumping station site, along Colton Avenue and Corbett Avenue to Main Street.

Construction is planned to start in the summer of 2023 until the summer of 2024. We will distribute a second notification letter to confirm the exact construction start date.

Expect ongoing lane restrictions, lane closures and road closures resulting in travel delays. We will post alternate routes around the construction zone for residents to take. We will install a temporary waterfront trail at the pump station site during construction.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time of inconvenience.
