Prenatal to 5 Years - Communication

Good communication between you and your partner, and showing support for one another, will be the key to positive parenting.

As early as infancy, children are learning the basics of communication.  Crying is your baby’s first way of communicating with you, therefore it is important to understand the reasons why babies cry, and to start exploring soothing techniques that work for you and your baby.  It is also important to start modeling positive communication (non-verbal as well as verbal) during this early stage, in order to help your child develop effective communication and language skills throughout their early years.
