Summary


The Peoplesoft Administrator /Senior Database Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of the database environments for all Regional departments and shared service partners through optimal and secure information technology systems, process improvement and best practices.

This role is also responsible for the architecture and support of Peoplesoft and Hyperion Enterprise application environments, including system requirements installing upgrades monitoring system performance

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field of study. Formal training in PeopleSoft tools considered an asset.

Knowledge

Minimum five years' experience in a Microsoft SQL Server environment with experience in Hyperion and Peoplesoft Experience with Peoplesoft Integration Broker and Application Designer Experience with Peoplesoft PUM application process Minimum of eight (8) years' experience working in a senior technical role Experience in assessing application technology and end user needs and recommending solutions in accordance with Regional strategic direction and functional requirements. Demonstrated experience with database integration, implementation and upgrades. Experience in developing complex queries to extract data from multiple tables. Experience working in a project-based team. Strong interpersonal skills - motivation, influence, relationships, team building, coaching and mentoring Managed services and system development methodologies, application and technical architecture design, business modeling, data modeling (5 years of experience).

Responsibilities

Support databases, manage data and data integrity, including monitoring and reporting. Manage the database environment, including resolution of any incidents, problem and service requests related to the databases in accordance with up to date support documentation. Work on Enhancements, design, build, configure and deploy databases and directory structures Development of database backup requirements. Responsible for database backups, disaster recovery and business continuity processes Install, test, and maintain changes to the SQL Server database management systems in accordance with the approved Change Management process. Advanced-level DBA competency and analytical capability. Experienced in database maintenance, clustering technologies or DR/failover considerations Review and recommend changes to database management systems (including implementation of new releases and upgrades and patches as well as recommendations to change to different systems and related migration plans). Monitor optimize/improve DB performance when necessary and reporting.
