Appealing a Freedom of Information Request Decision

Appeals can be filed within 30 days after Niagara Region has given notice of its decision.

Our decisions are based on exemptions and criteria for denying a request, including:

  • Confidential information from other governments
  • Records of closed meetings
  • Financial information given to us from other parties
  • Personal information about other people
  • Legal advice
  • Law enforcement matters

File your Appeal with the Province

Appeals are filed through the Province's Information & Privacy Commissioner Registrar.
